Have you taken notice of the new dynamic voices that are rising all across America? These voices are capturing enormous audiences world wide. They are more influential than any other voice has been in decades. They hold their audiences undivided attention for hours at a time. Probably the most astounding thing these new voices are accomplishing is their ability to attract and be heard and followed by the so-called generation X. Now all this could be considered one of the greatest things to have happen to the Body of Christ in years, but these voices are not anointed men and women of God preaching the gospel. Who are they? They are Oprah, Ricki, Jenny, Jerry, and a host of other talk show hosts that Satan has raised up to snatch away the youth of this generation and pollute their minds with all manner of filth and ungodliness.

These talk shows are not just another program on your Television. Satan is much more clever than that. These shows are part of his strategic plan to program the minds of those who watch. He has been given solid hours day after day to penetrate your mind and fill it with secular reasoning and philosophy. The topics of these shows are straight out of the gutter. They are designed to desensitize the viewers to sin and unrighteousness. They make it appear that a majority of people like you and I are living like the guest on their shows. They want you to believe that morality and decency are unrealistic and most importantly unattainable. If they could convince the mass audiences they reach that the Christian life style is abnormal and outrageous, and a irreverent lifestyle is what is the norm, then they can influence an entire generation to reject anything that calls for values and ethics. These shows are perfect examples of calling evil good and good evil.

Isaiah 5:20, "Woe unto them that call evil good, and good evil; that put darkness for light, and light for darkness; that put bitter for sweet, and sweet for bitter!"

The word of God warns us in: 2Timothy 2:16,

"But shun profane and vain babblings; for they will increase unto more ungodliness"

In the book of Proverbs 14:7, The Word of God exhort us to:

"Go from the presence of a foolish man, when thou perceivest not in him the lips of knowledge".

Any child of God with the Spirit of God dwelling inside of him can detect from watching only one of these talk shows that they are foolish, profane, and ungodly. Our response as Christians should be to turn them off. We cannot sit and allow Satan to talk to our children and us. We must guard and protect our hearts. Our inner man needs to hear the Word of God to become strong and equipped to war a good warfare.

The book of Romans, exhorts us to not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of our minds.

Romans 12:2, "And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind,..."

We must strive to have the mind of Christ, Christian friend, our walk with Christ has eternal rewards. We cannot afford to be passive on our journey to eternity. Satan is searching for those he can devour. If we allow him to capture us through the lack of knowledge of his strategies then we will be devoured and destroyed. But thanks be to God who gives us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ (1Corinthains 15:57). If we need to repent from allowing ourselves to listen to the new televangelist, then let us do that and go on from here and not be entangled again with that bondage. Jesus is ever forgiving and desires that none would perish. Ask Him to create a desire in you for hearing His Word and a desire to fellowship with him. Soon you will no longer have an appetite for anything that is unpleasing to God and the only thing that will satisfy your hearts desire is God alone!
