Preparing For His Return
The information, written here about the EMP, came out in 2005, not 2006.
This year, 2006, I have been hearing that the Shiites are expecting the Twelfth Imam in 2007. A prophecy was given, sometime in the past, that predicted that the Twelfth Imam will be the “one” that is the expected “deliverer.” Obviously, we look at this as a false prophecy. However, it’s important that we pay attention to what they believe, especially since they claim they are to destroy the infidel (that’s us) before the Twelfth Imam comes.
Again, I point out, there is only one way for us to prepare. Return to God, and I mean “really return to God.”
I heard an evangelist say, “There are three kinds of believers – those that believe, those that don’t believe, and those that make-believe.
Dr. Randall Price, in his book The Temple and Bible Prophecy, points out that the Jews believe they must be proactive in rebuilding the Temple, otherwise they cannot expect the Messiah to come. They believe that until they are physically and spiritually ready, the event will continue to be postponed.
We, as Christians, need also to be ready both physically and spiritually for the return of Jesus Christ. I’ve heard many people say, “I hope He doesn’t come, until …” That shows we aren’t really ready for Him to come.
Some of the Jews are waiting for the Messiah. Christians are waiting for Jesus Christ. Are we ready for Him, both physically and spiritually?
